Inviting national and international experts to deliver seminars, courses and conferences in the scientific developments.

Organizing workshop for skill enhancement of students.

Special assistance to P.G. students for preparing them for various national examinations like GATE, NET, JEST etc.

The Department of Physics was established in the year 1960 at Undergraduate level and Post-graduate course was started in the year 1971.At present there are five faculty members in department. The faculty members have been actively engaged in research activities. The faculty members of the department are also actively involved in organizing workshops for students. There are seven highly equipped laboratories with latest equipment's and one research Lab in Material science .

The Well managed library facility is also available for PG students. 70 reference books, 150 text books, many e-books and various online/offline UGC approved journals are available for students.

ICT facilities like LCD projector, Internet, computers etc are also available for faculty members and students in the department. PG students take benefits of these facilities for presenting their seminars during their course work and faculty members also present time to time their innovative lectures/research papers for benefits of students.

PG students of department are actively involved in research activities and participated in training programs in various research organizations . The department has established linkages with ATI-EPI Training Institute and IRDE (DRDO) Dehradun for the benefit of P.G. students to get hands on training. The students are given technical knowledge for their M.Sc. projects so that this knowledge can be applied by them for lucrative prospects in future. PG Students of department qualified national level examinations like UGC-NET/GATE/USET/JEST. 27 PG students qualified UGC NET/GATE/USET examinations during 2010-2020. Beside this many students of UG and PG secured different positions in university merit list, during 2010 -2020.
